I’ve learned over and over again what to do when life gives you lemons. Want to know how to handle yourself when things don’t go your way?

7.
7 sales.
After our initial beta launch (which went really well), I decided to officially launch Location Rebel Academy with style.
I was going to pick a really exotic location, and prove that yes, you can build and run a successful business from anywhere.
So I went to Bali.
I spent months preparing for the launch, and then when I released it at 11pm local time?
Crickets.
We made 7 sales in the first 24 hours.
For our beta launch a few months prior, we sold 24 in the first 48 minutes, so needless to say I was disappointed.
But things won’t always go as planned.
A while back I had a once-in-a-lifetime, bucket list golf trip planned to the mountains of Alberta.

I was finally going to get to see golf courses, and mountain lakes that I’d been dreaming of my whole life.
I flew to Calgary, drove 5+ hours through the mountains to Jasper.
And on a crisp early September morning?
I woke up to snow. Lots of snow.
So what do you do when life gives you lemons? Make the most of it:
Things won’t always go as planned.
A few months later, I went skiing with friends in Japan. It was the trip of a lifetime.
But as we began our (very long) journey back home. Something I happened.
Things won’t always go as planned.
My first time ever in China. I arrived in Guangzhou at 12:30 in the morning. I got scammed on a cab ride into the city.
Show up at my friend Nick’s apartment, and? No one there.
I was locked out for hours, in a strange place, having no idea what was going to happen.
Things won’t always go as planned.
In life as they say, even the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.
When life gives you lemons, well, vlog it.
But more importantly, make the most of it.
There’s nothing you can do about the cards your dealt.
What you can do, is choose how you react to it.
Do you sulk, and pout, and play the victim?
Or do you laugh about it, chalk it up to a good story to tell in the future, and make the most of it?
When life gives you lemons, your attitude and perception of a situation control everything – your success and your happiness are completely dependent on it.
So, things won’t always go as planned.
But the question is, how are you going to react when they don’t?

How one deals with life issues hopefully in a positive manner is great advise to use in a given situation that might not always be favorable. I try to always stay positive or look on the bright side of a given situation or issue.
