I started Location Rebel in May 2009, when I was in a job I was unhappy with and looking to make a change.
I started writing about my experience, and by October of 2009 I left my job having no idea what would come next.
Within a few weeks things started to happen. I was offered a position with Dan Andrews in a new internship called the “Tropical MBA.”
It was an experiment. What would happen if Dan brought a motivated dude out to Asia (me), payed for his basic living expenses, and taught him how to do online marketing.
Half the time he worked on the business, half the time he worked on his own projects.
This experiment led to the most transformative year of my life, and is literally the reason that now over a decade later I’m still working for myself.
Most of these posts are a decade + old. But if you want to learn about the origins of Location Rebel, my lifestyle business, and want a little motivation for taking action and making change – I think these posts are a great starting point.
These are all posts related to my time living in Thailand during 2010.
