So I'm not going to lie, I just got a message when I logged in saying it had been 91 days since I checked for updates on Location Rebel. That is pretty pathetic. This has the potential to be an incredible forum and I don't want to see it die.
With that said, I am going to make more of an effort to spend at least 15 minutes a day answering questions, starting discussions and you know, all that moderation stuff that should have been happening from the beginning! So lets get the word out there, that this IS an ACTIVE forum, and is not dead as it may have seemed over the past few months...Becoming Location Independent is easier than you think...
Glad to hear it Sean. I've dropped by occasionally to see whether anything was happening here so that's gotta mean it captured my attention somewhere along the line. I'm a notorious lurker trying to change his ways so I'll try and contribute where I can!- Shaun
Glad to see you guys breathing some life back into this forum. It's got a lot of potential and I hated to see it die.
Something new is happening though: I'm getting email notifications of new posts in a couple threads. It's entirely possible I opted to be notified back when I posted in them, but I'd like to disable the email notices now but can't seem to figure out how. Any ideas?
Kenn, Yeah in the past we had never been able to figure out how to get them to work, and as soon as we updated to the latest version of Vanilla, it started working. Let me look a little bit deeper, and see if I can figure out exactly how to turn the notifications off.Becoming Location Independent is easier than you think...
Kenn, if you go into "Account" hopefully you should now see a notifications tab. Go in there and you can set it up however you like. Let me know if there are any issues.Becoming Location Independent is easier than you think...
Couple of other issues this end: Can't seem to get any line breaks or paragraphs to work. Editing my posts doesn't seem to be saving.
Also, I have 2 textareas for replying to threads. I'm using Google Chrome... will try Firefox.
edit: Seems these are issues with Chrome, but Firefox works fine. - Shaun
Yeah I use chrome as well and am seeing the same textbox issue. Thanks for the feedback, I will coordinate with JD and see if there is a solution.Becoming Location Independent is easier than you think...
